Welcome!

Hi! I am glad you found me. My name is Patti Mikulski, and I am running as the Republican candidate in Minnesota Senate District 53B. I am pretty new to politics, and honestly, am discovering a whole new part of myself. In the last 20 years, we have seen Minnesota slowly decline. We went from an $18 BILLION dollar surplus, to a $10 BILLION dollar deficit. The socialist Democrats grew Minnesota government by 40%. That is unheard of. The state of Minnesota is the number one employer in the state. Not 3M, not Target, not Medtronic or many of the other great employers in the state. Government. New departments were created and funded with our tax dollars with zero measures in place to determine if the programs are successful or guard rails to prevent fraud. During the 21-22 and 23-24 legislative sessions, the democrats created at least 47 unfunded mandates to schools, which means local municipalities have had to increase property taxes to fund them. Putting tampons in boys bathrooms is just one of many ridiculous mandates. This is why I am running. I want to unwind much of what was put in place and reduce the tax burden on Minnesotans. I can’t do it alone. I need every voter and every dollar to defeat the democrat incumbent who has been if office WAAYYY too long and has done great harm to us, and the reputation of Minnesota as being a state of reasonable people. Thank you for stopping by, and please, if you have any questions or concerns, I will be happy to do my best to answer them.
